Good looking decent chair
02/13/2022I bought this chair when the pandemic drove me to work from home. I'm a short 5'2" person. I either need a really good lumbar pillow or a seat depth that is shorter/more shallow so that I can sit all the way back with my back against the backrest of a chair and still have my legs extend comfortably past the seat and form a 90-degree angle. Most desk chairs have seats that are 18" in depth or more. This one is between 15-16." I can use this one comfortably with my back pressed against the backrest. Because of the height of my desk, I have to adjust this chair to the highest setting to have my arms in an ergonomically comfortable 90-degree angle. That means I also need a footrest under me to have my legs resting comfortably in a 90-degree angle. But I'm not having to adjust the back support with an added lumbar pillow like I've typically done with any office chair I've had. The curved seat is comfortable for me. There's very little padding under the leather (faux leather?) seat, but it's not been an issue for me over two years. I'm surprisingly comfortable in this chair. I hate the look of ergonomic chairs that can adjust in 10 different ways. (Why doesn't an engineer ever consult a designer?) I also hate that, no matter how much those chairs adjust, they seem to be designed for people between 5'6" and 6'6"--still typically too big to be comfortable to me. Granted, I've never dropped $1,500 on a fancy chair, and I can't fathom myself doing so. But this one ticked all the boxes I needed to work from home fairly comfortably with a style I didn't mind looking at in the corner of my dining room for the last 2 years.
With the addition of foam covered arms this is the perfect desk chair!
04/30/2021I'm an early riser and spend a couple hours online every morning reading my mail and the news. I've started my day with a backache for years. This chair stopped the backache completely with the wonderful back support. I did miss the arm support but fixed that by adding foam covered grab bars that are attached to the bottom of the seat with four screws... simple install, perfect position and great arm support.
Love this chair
